Why a Global Centre?
At the moment, Surgeons feel restricted to the use of Joints which the manufactures offer.

• There is no Indian involved in the designing of Joints, whereas there are designer Surgeons in the UK, USA, Germany and Europe. What is designed in the West may not be ideal for India

• The Global Centre will sponsor Designers across the world to work with Indian Surgeons at this Centre to design joints for Indian Population. Since India is a relatively poor country, manufacturing these joints will be cheaper.

• The Miot Global Centre will promote research in the field of Joint Replacement. Maybe in the future the coating of the prosthesis with Osteoblast may accelerate the bonding of the components to the bone.
